Overgrowth (proliferation) of lymphatic vessels in the lung, pleura, and mediastinum

Increase in size and number of anastomosing lymphatic channels in interlobular septa or subpleural areas

Most cases reported in infants and children

Symptoms: chest pain, dyspnea, cough, hemoptysis, pleural effusion

Differential diagnosis: Erdheim-Chester disease, lymphangiectasis, lymphangitic carcinomatosis, sarcoidosis, and pulmonary lymphoma
